Aromatically
Essential oils can be use aromatically by putting a drop in your hands, rubbing them together and inhaling or using a diffuser that helps to disperse the molecules into the air. Aromatically is a great way to use our oils when we want to help clean and purify the air, improve respiratory function or when we want to help positively improve and elevate our moods.

Topically
Essential oils can be used topically when trying to get the oils quickly into the blood stream or for direct application. Some of the best places on the body to apply essential oils are the bottoms of the feet, spine, and back of neck. When dealing with abstract things, such as the immune system, apply to the bottoms of feet. When looking for more a targeted support, apply directly to the area of the body you'd like to address. If an essential oils feels uncomfortable to the skin, when using oils on children, or if you have sensitive skin, you will want to use a carrier oil along with your essential oils, like coconut, almond, jojoba, etc. Our favorite is fractionated coconut oil. Some oils that will ALWAYS need to be diluted are: clove, cinnamon, cassia, thyme and oregano. Never apply those oils directly to the skin without a carrier oil.

Internally
Certain grades of essential oils can be used internally. Make sure that the bottle has a "Supplement Facts" box on the label before ingesting. Some methods of internal use are in a glass of water, directly under the tongue, or in a veggie capsule. This method is great to use when dealing with digestive system, looking to support the immune system, and help aid the body in cleansing and detoxifying. Please note that when using citrus oils in your water, make sure to only use a glass or stainless steel cup.
